Upgrade sets for the model of the battleship Bismarck in 1:200 scale from the maker Trumpeter. This is not a kit of the ship but an accessory for detailing it.
Responsibility details are not available.
The item is not a model of the ship but an upgrade accessory meant for building the battleship Bismarck in the large 1:200 scale. Sets of this kind replace or complete the elements that cannot be captured finely enough in injection-molded plastic. The exact contents of the package are stated on the box; check them beforehand, so that you know which parts of the model the set concerns and are not left with accessories you cannot use.
The Bismarck was a battleship of the Kriegsmarine and entered service early in 1941. Her main armament consisted of 380 mm guns in four twin turrets, and steam turbines provided the propulsion. The ship was sunk in May 1941 in the North Atlantic. A model in 1:200 scale is a large build on which the level of detail shows very plainly, and that is why upgrade sets are used with it as a matter of course.
Separate the small parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, and never break them out. Metal and resin parts are glued with super glue, as ordinary cement for polystyrene will not hold on them. Make the bends over a metal ruler or in a bending tool. Before painting, apply a primer to the metal, or the paint will peel off. On a model of this size it pays to fit the accessories as the build goes along and to protect the finished parts as you go, because once the hull is closed you can no longer reach the lower decks.
These are upgrade sets, not a model of the ship. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
