Responsibility details are not available.
A flagship large-format plastic kit of the American battleship USS Missouri (BB-63) in the imposing 1:200 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. The extensive kit with its richly detailed hull, decks and superstructure is one of the showpiece ship projects; the assembled model reaches remarkable dimensions. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
USS Missouri was one of the American battleships of the Iowa class. The main armament consisted of nine 406 mm (sixteen inch) guns in three gun turrets. The ship is historically known as the place where the Japanese surrender was signed in 1945, and after modernization she served again in the 1980s and the early 1990s. She ranks among the best known battleships in history.
On a model this large, build in subassemblies and count on a longer build time. The hull can be done as a full hull or as a waterline. You can bring the wooden deck to life with a careful shade and fine accenting of the planks, and the steel areas with a base gray through an airbrush. Consider preparing a sturdy stand or a display case; photo-etched accessories and ship rigging will lift the look further.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
