Masks for a model of the British Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib fighter-bomber in the version with side doors, in 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hawker Typhoon Mk.Ib is a British single-seat fighter-bomber of the Second World War. It was powered by a Napier Sabre H-24 engine, and the machine made its name above all in attacks on ground targets, carrying bombs and rockets. Early production examples had a cockpit with fixed framing and with side doors resembling those of a car, which is where the name of the Car Door version comes from; later a frameless sliding canopy took their place.
Masks for a Typhoon Mk.Ib model in the version with side doors, in 1:24 scale. The masks are prepared in a shape that sits straight onto the model, so cutting and measuring from masking tape falls away. Which areas the set covers, and in what order the masks are applied, is given in the manufacturer's instructions supplied with the set.
Wash and degrease the surface before sticking the masks on; on a greasy surface they do not hold and paint will creep under. Lift the mask off with a sharp point, lay it in place and press the edges down with a toothpick. Apply the paint in several thin coats; a heavy coat will build a ridge at the edge of the mask. Take the masks off as soon as the paint has set, as after it has fully cured they come away less easily and may pull the finish off. Remove any adhesive left behind by a mask with a soft cloth.
The aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
