This is a self-adhesive masking set from the brand Kits-World in the large 1:24 scale. The templates are cut to fit a model of the early British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Ia fighter and serve to cover the canopy glazing and the wheels. It is not a kit but an accessory for painting; a large scale places especially high demands on clean masking.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Ia was the first production version of the legendary British fighter, the one with which the Royal Air Force entered the Battle of Britain. It stood out for its elegant elliptical wing and its good agility and became a symbol of British defense at the beginning of the Second World War.
The templates cover the canopy frames and the wheels exactly, so that spraying leaves sharp transitions without laborious work by hand, which saves a great deal of time in a large scale. Degrease the clear parts, press the mask down against the edges of the frames and spray in thin coats; lift it shortly after it dries.
The set holds masking templates only. Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.
