Position and navigation lights are a small thing that decides more on a finished model than the size of the parts would suggest. At the wingtips and on the fuselage they are in view from every angle and give away at once whether the model was finished with care. The set offers these items as ready-made replacement parts for the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter in 1:32 scale, that is for the supersonic fighter with its slender fuselage and conspicuously short thin wings.
Remove the original items from the kit first and level the area, and only then try the new parts dry. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the mating face is flat. The parts are not of polystyrene, so ordinary cement for plastic models has no effect on them; they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a minute amount. Wash and degrease them before painting, otherwise the finish will hold badly on them. The particular preparation procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Position lights on aircraft keep to a settled convention: red at the left and green at the right wingtip, white at the rear. If you want the lens to look lit, paint the area beneath it silver and only then lay the translucent shade on in thin coats.
The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
