Injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary MiG-21MF supersonic fighter in the large and rewarding 1:32 scale from the Hobby 2000 range. It is a rebox: the original plastic parts come from a Trumpeter mold, and the package adds quality Cartograf decals and self-adhesive masking templates for the glazing. The whole set is focused on color schemes of machines of the Polish Air Force.
The MiG-21MF is one of the most widely built versions of the Soviet MiG-21 supersonic fighter series. The typical delta wing, the slim fuselage with a nose intake and a powerful jet engine allowed a speed of more than twice the speed of sound. The armament was a gun supplemented with guided missiles. The Polish Air Force operated the MiG-21MF from the 1970s as an important part of its air defense, and the machines served for many years before more modern types gradually replaced them.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, let the joints set thoroughly and sand them. Before painting, apply a base primer, which unifies the surface and reveals anything that still needs work. Apply the shades with an airbrush and use the masks supplied to mask the cockpit. After painting, a gloss coat under the decals, sealing and a final emphasis of the panel lines and the weathering are recommended.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
