A set of wheels in cast resin in 1:32 scale from the manufacturer Reskit, intended for a model of the jet fighter MiG-15 in its early form. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory with which the landing gear wheels in a kit are replaced. The statement of the early version in the name matters: the set therefore does not correspond to the later forms of the landing gear. The accessory is designed for one specific kit, which the name states, so check the match in advance.
The MiG-15 was produced for a long time and in large numbers, in several production batches and licensed forms. During that time the details of the landing gear changed as well, including the form of the wheels and the tread of the tires. Aftermarket manufacturers therefore make separate sets for the early and the later batches. If you are building a particular machine, compare the version marked on the box of the kit with what the name of this set states, so that you do not combine late wheels with an early airframe.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry, so that no mold release is left on them. Cut the casting block off with a saw and never break it off. Level the contact surface on abrasive paper laid on glass and watch that the model stands straight. Sand wet and with respiratory protection; resin dust does not belong in the lungs. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply primer before painting, spray the tire in dark gray with a hint of brown and paint the rim separately. A little dust pigment on the contact patch gives the wheels life.
This is an accessory in resin, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
