The finest flat strip, with a section of 0.38 x 0.50 millimeters. An almost thread-like profile for details at the limit of visibility.
Responsibility details are not available.
Just under four tenths by half a millimeter gives a profile that looks like a hair on a model. It is used where any thicker element would look coarse: for suggesting thin straps, wires, fine trims and dividing lines. In small scales it is often the only way to add detail without changing the outline of a part.
It is divided with a single stroke of the blade; laying a rule against it would rather crush the material. Do not pick it up in your hand, as tweezers are essential, otherwise the rod will break or ripple. Shortening it as you go is better than preparing the parts in advance.
Apply the cement right at the edge of the part you have laid in place, so that it is drawn in under the profile. Applying it beforehand does not pay with a section this small, as the material would dissolve in it before you manage to position it. One piece measures 35 centimeters.
The white color of the material is an advantage when working with such fine elements, because on a darker surface it is easy to see exactly where the profile is to go. You can check the arrangement before applying any cement.
