XTREME METAL MATTE ALUMINIUM

AK Xtreme Metal Matte Aluminium (AK Interactive)

Xtreme Metal Matte Aluminium is a lacquer-based metallic paint from the Xtreme Metal line by AK Interactive. It normally comes in a bottle of 30 ml. Xtreme Metal paints are made up of fine metallic micropigments, have very high coverage and dry quickly; they are ready for airbrush spraying and can be thinned further with the matching lacquer thinner if needed. The Matte Aluminium shade represents a flatter, less shiny aluminum — it suits places where polished metal would look unnatural, that is flat aluminum panels, cast or unpolished metal and the less shiny areas of an airframe.

Use

• Applied with an airbrush only, at a recommended air pressure of about 1.5 bar
• A flat aluminum shade for less shiny metal surfaces and panels
• Cast or unpolished aluminum, internal surfaces and less exposed parts
• It can be combined with shinier metallic shades to differentiate panels
• It does not attack plastic and once dry it can be clear-coated

Who it is for

Suitable for modelers working with an airbrush who want to differentiate flat aluminum surfaces from polished parts realistically on models of aircraft, vehicles and other equipment. As a complement to the Xtreme Metal line the manufacturer also offers a specific thinner and cleaner.

Safety: a lacquer-based (solvent) paint — flammable, and the vapors are harmful to health. Use only with an airbrush in a well-ventilated area away from open flame, wear a respirator and protect your skin. Keep out of the reach of children.
