Eduard Brassin Mosquito Mk.VI wheels 1:32 is a resin detail accessory for models of the de Havilland Mosquito FB Mk.VI fighter-bomber. It replaces the plastic wheels with faithful castings of tires and hubs.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set from the Brassin line by Eduard in 1:32 scale. It is not a model, but a detail accessory. It replaces the plastic main wheels of a kit with faithful castings of tires with a finely rendered tread and sidewalls. It is intended for models of the wooden de Havilland Mosquito FB Mk.VI fighter-bomber.
The resin wheels offer crisper detail on the tread, the sidewalls and the hubs than injection-molded plastic, and they usually come with a weighted tire effect, which gives a model on the ground a realistic look. The sturdy landing gear of the Mosquito with its large wheels is one of the striking features of the underside of the model.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tires in a matte finish and the hubs in a different shade, and bring them out with a wash if you like.
This is a detail accessory, not a model in its own right. It calls for a matching base kit. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
