Eduard LööK Spitfire Mk. IX early 1:32 is a detail set with a pre-painted instrument panel and steel seatbelts for the cockpit of the Supermarine Spitfire fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is NOT an aircraft model but a detail accessory from Eduard's LööK line in 1:32 scale. The set brings together a pre-painted instrument panel with a layered dial relief that reads three-dimensionally, and separate steel (STEEL) seatbelts. It replaces the plastic cockpit parts in the base kit of the early version of the Spitfire Mk. IX and noticeably lifts the realistic look of the interior.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX was a British single-seat fighter of the Second World War powered by the Rolls-Royce Merlin 61 engine with a two-stage supercharger. The early version was marked by an instrument panel layout and cockpit fittings typical of the first production machines of this variant. The Mk. IX was one of the most successful and most widely built versions of the Spitfire.
The colored panel comes already printed; you only need to separate it carefully from the fret and glue it on with cyanoacrylate glue. The steel belts are self-supporting and easy to shape into realistic folds; they hold their shape without any added stiffening. We recommend evening out the sheen slightly with a clear matte varnish and picking out the detail with a fine wash.
This is an add-on set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
