The set contains fully colored 3D decals of the ammunition belts of the American .50 caliber (12.7 mm) M2 Browning heavy machine gun in 1:32 scale. These are not ordinary marking decals but micro-printed decals with relief, which faithfully imitate the individual rounds and the links of the belt. The set covers roughly 320 rounds.
The .50 caliber M2 Browning machine gun was the basic armament of American USAAF aircraft in the Second World War, from fighters to bombers. Long ammunition belts with color-coded ammunition are among the striking details of wing and fuselage gun bays and ammunition boxes.
The decals are applied by the wet method: the part is cut out, dipped briefly in water and moved into place. The relief printing creates a raised impression of the rounds, so assembling tiny links is no longer needed. A matte base and settling with a softener are recommended.
This is an accessory for detailing, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
