Eduard 1:35 AH-64A Apache Early seatbelts STEEL are photo-etched steel restraint belts for the seats of the American attack helicopter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set deals with a single, though highly conspicuous, detail: the straps that hang across the backrests of the seats in the cabin. The steel form has the advantage over ordinary etch that a bent shape holds and does not spring back, so a belt can be arranged into a believably hanging fold.
The seats of the crew of the Apache belong to a construction that absorbs the impact of a hard landing and are fitted with a multi-point restraint system. The belts run across the shoulders and across the pelvis and come together into a buckle in the middle. It is exactly this assembly from the real machine that is best visible on a model as soon as the cover of the cabin is left open, and a cast plastic suggestion cannot replace it.
First shape a belt over the round handle of a tool or over the tip of tweezers, and only then seat it. Make the bends gradually and without breaking at a single point, so that a strap does not take on a sharp creased edge. Fix the ends with a small drop of cyanoacrylate glue and let them dry while you hold the belt in position; corrections after curing are already difficult.
The package holds only the belts themselves. Neither the model, the seats nor paints are part of it.
