This is a resin aftermarket accessory, not a model on its own. The set contains cast road wheels with the period Firestone tread and replaces the plastic parts from the box on models of the British truck Bedford QL. The castings have a crisp rendering of the tread and detail on the rims.
The Bedford QL was a British three-ton truck with all-wheel drive of the Second World War period; the QLC version served as a flatbed. These vehicles formed the backbone of British supply transport on most fronts. Off-road tires coped with heavy terrain as well.
Wash the mold release agent off the castings, cut the casting blocks away and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); sand with respiratory protection. The tread stands out once it has been dusted with pigments; a slight flattening of the tire where it meets the road also looks natural.
The aftermarket accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
