An injection-molded plastic set of artillery crew figures from the setting of the German Afrikakorps in 1:35 scale from Tamiya. The package combines soldiers in tropical uniforms in action poses with rich supporting accessories, so you can easily build a lively scene of a gun crew from it.
In North Africa the German forces also deployed Luftwaffe units with the famous 88 mm guns, used against aircraft and ground targets alike. The soldiers in tropical uniforms – with the characteristic large pocket on the leg – portray a commander giving orders as well as crewmen handling ammunition. The set usually contains shells, an ammunition rack, a rangefinder and other small equipment.
Glue the parts with thin plastic cement, clean up the parting seams and lay down a primer before painting. The tropical uniforms are painted in sand and khaki shades; paint the skin in layers. Bring the accessories and the ammunition to life with metallic and brass tones and pull the whole together with dust washes and pigments, which evoke the North African setting well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
