An injection-molded plastic kit of the American multipurpose naval helicopter MH-60S Knighthawk in the relatively large 1:35 scale from the maker Kitty Hawk. The model is distinguished by a cockpit and a cargo cabin worked out in detail, by its glazing, a fine rotor head and photo-etched parts for raising the fidelity. The large scale lets the interior equipment of the cabin stand out.
The MH-60S Knighthawk is a multipurpose helicopter of the US Navy derived from the proven Black Hawk design, or rather from the naval Seahawk line. It entered service at the beginning of the 21st century and fulfills a broad spectrum of tasks: the vertical replenishment of ships at sea, combat search and rescue (SAR), the support of special operations and mine countermeasures. It was powered by two turboshaft engines and thanks to the spacious cabin it can carry cargo, troops and equipment for rescue missions.
Glue the plastic with a thin modeling glue and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate (super glue). First finish and paint the cockpit and the interior of the cabin, and only then close up the fuselage. Mask the glazing carefully. An airbrush suits the naval gray schemes; emphasize the panel lines with a wash and add the fine weathering of salt and dust effects typical of equipment deployed over the sea.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
