This set from Voyager Model is a brass photo-etched detail set meant to raise the fidelity of a model of the modern Russian Tiger armored off-road vehicle (GAZ Tigr) in 1:35 scale. It replaces and adds to the plastic parts with fine photo-etched items such as grilles, brackets, tie-down loops, guards and other small detail. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an add-on set that is fitted to a model from the Meng VS-003 kit.
The Tiger, also known as the GAZ Tigr, is a modern Russian four-wheeled armored high-mobility vehicle, close in concept to the American range of armored off-road vehicles. It serves to carry a crew, for reconnaissance and as a carrier for various weapon stations. It stands out for its armored body, off-road tires and resistance to small arms fire and splinters.
Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret with a sharp knife, make the bends over a bending tool or a metal ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, or with two-part epoxy. Degrease the parts before painting and lay down a primer for metal surfaces; it is best to spray the paint with an airbrush so that the fine detail does not get flooded. Fill the gap between the photo-etched part and the plastic with filler.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
