E.T. Model 1:35 Modern U.S. MK.23 MTVR Cargo Truck Weighted Road Wheels is a resin set of wheels with a flattened contact face for a model of the American medium tactical truck.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from E.T. Model replaces the kit wheels with resin castings whose lower part of the tire is flattened. On a truck with large off-road wheels the detail of the tread and the sidewall is very visible, so the change tells at once. The weighting deformation also tells whether the model represents an empty or a loaded vehicle, because it is exactly the way the tire sits down that carries the information about the weight of the load.
The MK.23 MTVR is an American medium tactical truck in a 6x6 configuration with independent suspension on all wheels, a high ability to cross country and a central tire inflation system. It serves to carry cargo and material, and it exists both with a flatbed and with purpose-built bodies. The independent suspension allows it greater wheel travel than conventional rigid axles do.
Wash the castings in water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off and level the surface; protect your airways while sanding. Glue them with cyanoacrylate and watch that the flattened faces point straight down and the vehicle stands level. After the base coat, paint the tires dark gray and the rims in the shade of the body. Apply mud from the rear wheels from the bottom and backwards, so that it matches the direction of the spray thrown up, and add a dust pigment on the sidewalls.
An accessory set, not a complete kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
