Friulmodel 1:35 Neubaufahrzeug is a set of workable metal tracks of white metal that replace the plastic tracks from the kit and faithfully imitate the sag of a real vehicle.

This set contains individual metal links cast in white metal, which are threaded onto the supplied pins (wire) and joined into a fully workable track. The result copies the behavior of a real track exactly: the track sags naturally between the road wheels and looks far more realistic than the stiff plastic tracks from the box. This is not a vehicle model but a detail accessory meant for models of the Neubaufahrzeug tank in 1:35 scale.
The Neubaufahrzeug was a German experimental multi-turret heavy tank of the first half of the 1930s. Only a few prototypes were built, with a hull and turrets from two competing designs. The machine was suited to propaganda and trials rather than to real combat; a small number of them appeared in the opening phase of the campaign in Norway in 1940. The combination of a main turret and two smaller auxiliary turrets gives the subject an unmistakable, somewhat archaic look.
Clean any burrs and casting remains off the links, put them together into two tracks and join them with a threaded wire that forms the pins. It is worth securing the joints with a drop of cyanoacrylate. The metal surface can be blackened in a bluing bath or sprayed with primer and paint; final weathering with pigments and washes comes out particularly well on metal. For a firm fit we recommend assembling the track straight on the running gear of the model.
This is an accessory (replacement tracks), not a complete model. The vehicle kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
