Photo-etched anti-skid plates for the 9K37M1 Buk anti-aircraft missile system in 1:35 scale are an add-on set for a plastic kit you already own, not a model. They replace a sprayed or merely suggested anti-skid finish with genuinely textured metal. The target kit is Meng SS-014.

An add-on set of photo-etched parts from Voyager Model, cut for the Meng SS-014 plastic kit. It is not a kit and not a finished model. The set deals with a single detail, but a visually fundamental one: the anti-skid surfaces on the walkable parts of the hull and the superstructure, over which the crew moves.
The 9K37M1 is a self-propelled medium-range anti-aircraft missile system on a tracked chassis. The vehicle carries an elevating launcher with missiles and a radar of its own, which lets it operate independently. The upper surfaces of the hull on this kind of equipment are given an anti-skid finish, because the crew routinely walks over them while working the launcher and carrying out maintenance.
Anti-skid is handled on models in various ways: by spraying thinned filler, by sprinkling, or by photo-etched parts as here. The photo-etched option is the thinnest and has a regular, repeating texture that looks the most convincing in a photograph. The key is gluing it without bubbles and without waves: level and degrease the surface of the model, try the photo-etched part dry first and only then lay on a thin continuous film of cyanoacrylate or of glue for photo-etched parts and press the part down with a soft roller from the center outwards. A bent corner is better flattened straight away with a flat tool, because once it is painted it cannot be put right. Spray the paint over the finished anti-skid thinly so that the texture does not fill in.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit and does not make up a model on its own. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
