Photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale for the American M4A3E8 Sherman medium tank. The manufacturer's instructions state the scope of the set and the kit it is intended for.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M4A3E8 is the late form of the American Sherman medium tank. You will know it from the older machines by its suspension with horizontal volute springs and wide tracks, which gave the vehicle a smoother ride and better going over soft ground, and by its 76 mm gun in a roomier turret. Among the soldiers the nickname Easy Eight took hold for this version. It served at the close of the Second World War and stayed with American units afterwards as well.
Photo-etched metal takes over the places on the model where a plastic part is inherently too thick: the fenders and their brackets, the covers and grilles, the lifting eyes, the tool brackets and the small equipment on the hull. It is exactly this small material that decides whether a tank in a display case looks like a machine or like a toy. The manufacturer's instructions state which parts the set holds and which kit it is designed for, so check that before buying.
Cut the parts off the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface and sand the remains of the tags down. Make the folds along the marked score line over a metal edge and make them in one movement. Before you glue a part on, try it dry on your own model, because the fenders and the brackets differ from kit to kit. Make the joint with the tiniest drop of cyanoacrylate. Degrease the sheet before painting and apply a base color meant for metal. Add dust and mud only at the end, and work from the bottom upwards.
The package holds photo-etched parts. The kit of the tank, the paints and the glue are supplied separately, unless stated otherwise.
