A themed sheet of decals in 1:35 scale with the markings of armored and combat vehicles from the period of the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. It is not a kit or a finished model but an accessory for finishing models you build and paint separately.
Unlike a sheet for a single vehicle, this type of set is used piece by piece: you pick the design that matches your model and keep the rest for next time. So it pays to cut carefully and to store the sheet flat, dry and dark, so that it stays usable even in a few years.
The spot under a decal has to be smooth and glossy. Spray it with clear gloss varnish and let it cure, otherwise air is trapped under the carrier film and a silvery rim appears around the design. Trim the design close to the printing, dip it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest on a paper towel. Once it starts to slide freely on the backing paper, slide it onto the moistened spot, fine-tune the position with a soft brush and draw the excess water off from the center toward the edges. On an intricate surface use a two-part system: the setting solution on the base, the softener on the laid markings. Do not touch the wrinkled film while it is drying; it draws itself into the engraving and around any projections.
Once dry, seal the decals with gloss varnish and unify the surface with a matte or semi-matte varnish, so that the edge of the film disappears. Only then does the patina come in. On vehicles with improvised markings it looks convincing when the markings are not perfectly straight and are lightly dusted.
The package contains decals. The kit, paints, varnishes and softeners are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
