The photo-etched set Eduard 1:350 HMS Dreadnought 1907 railings brings fine ship railings for a plastic model of the British battleship HMS Dreadnought. It is an accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of photo-etched parts from Eduard in 1:350 scale is aimed at the ship railings of a model of the battleship HMS Dreadnought. It is not a ship model but an accessory for a finished plastic kit. The fine etched railings replace the coarse plastic parts or fill in where they are missing, and they give the decks of the model a scale delicacy that injection-molded plastic cannot manage.
HMS Dreadnought was a British battleship completed in 1906 that meant a revolution in warship design. She was the first to carry a uniform main armament of large caliber and steam turbines, which made every previous battleship obsolete. Her name gave a title to a whole generation of armored ships, the dreadnoughts.
Separate the railings from the fret carefully, shape them to the outline of the decks and bond them with tiny drops of super glue (cyanoacrylate). Tweezers and a steady hand make the work easier. Railings are usually sprayed with paint only after they have been glued on, ideally with an airbrush, so that they stay fine and do not clog.
This is an accessory photo-etched set, not a kit. The ship model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
