This is a color photo-etched detail set, not a kit. It holds international marine signal flags in 1:350 scale with which a ship model is dressed: they are strung on the signal masts and the rigging in a full-dress or signaling display. It is made by the Czech firm Eduard, a leading name in photo-etched parts.
The flags are pre-printed in the appropriate colors, so there is no need to paint them. They add a touch of color and life of the kind a real ship has when it is dressed overall. They suit models of warships and civilian vessels in the matching scale.
Cut the individual flags from the fret with a sharp knife and string them on a taut line (thread or stretched sprue) between the masts. They are fixed with a tiny drop of super glue. Because the parts are in color, work with clean hands and avoid scratching the print.
This is an accessory, not a ship model. The base kit, glue and rigging are not included in the package.
