A set of pre-cut masking templates for a model of the Suzuki GSX-RR racing motorcycle in the specification of the 2020 season, in 1:12 scale. It is not a kit and not decals but an accessory for separating color fields precisely while painting the fairing and the other parts.
The GSX-RR is a prototype road racing motorcycle built for the top class of the world championship. It is powered by an inline four and the whole machine is built as a single-purpose racing prototype that resembles a production motorcycle only in shape. The 2020 season was exceptionally successful for the brand, and the color scheme of the motorcycle of that year is therefore well known among modelers.
Sand the fairing down properly before masking and let the primer and the paint dry out completely, as fresh paint will print under a mask. Lay the mask on a dry, degreased surface and press the edge with a blunt tip. Spray the lighter color first and the darker one over it; the edge then covers better. Take the mask off shortly after it has dried and pull it at an angle along the surface. Large fairing areas are better painted in two stages than all at once.
The masks are supplied on their own; paints and a model are not included in the package.
