A set of end fittings and unions for hoses two millimeters in diameter in 1:12 scale. On a real racing machine fluid does not run in a bare pipe: every section ends in a union that can be disconnected, and it is exactly that shiny aluminum fitting that catches the eye first in photographs of an engine bay. On a model these parts replace it, because a hose on its own without a fitting looks like a piece of string.
Plan the route of the line first and only then cut the hose to length, because once shortened it cannot be lengthened again. Slip the fitting onto the end of the hose and secure it with a drop of super glue, wiping the excess off at once, as dried glue dulls the surface of a shiny part. The hose itself is not included in the set; drawn material of the matching diameter is used. The fittings look convincing in the color of anodized aluminum, that is in gold, blue or red metallic according to period photographs of the machine in question.
The set is an accessory, not a kit. The model, the hose, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
