USS Noa (DD-343), April 1940, a 1:400 model from Mirage Hobby represents the American flush-deck destroyer of the Clemson class as she looked at the start of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:400 scale captures the American destroyer USS Noa in her April 1940 configuration. She was a flush-deck ship, that is one with a continuous smooth deck, as American destroyers were built at the end of the First World War. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
USS Noa belonged to the numerous Clemson class that the US Navy built at the end of the First World War. These slender four-funnel destroyers served well into the Second World War, when many of them went through conversions into fast transports or auxiliary vessels. Her April 1940 appearance matches the ship still in her original destroyer role.
On ships in a small scale, fine photo-etched railings and aerials of stretched sprue or wire come into their own. The hull can be built whole, or it can be adapted to a waterline form and set on the supplied stand. Use a thin glue for the plastic and bring the deck and the superstructure out with a fine wash and a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
