1:48 A6M Bulkhead with Seat in BOTTOM position is a 3D-printed resin cockpit bulkhead with the pilot seat in the bottom position, cut for the Zero kits from Fine Molds.
Responsibility details are not available.
The accessory replaces the rear bulkhead of the pilot's compartment of the Japanese A6M carrier fighter, including the seat. The print captures the seat lowered to its lowest stop. The set is cut for the Zero kit from the maker Fine Molds in 1:48 scale. Seat belts are not included in the package.
The Mitsubishi A6M came about in the second half of the 1930s as the answer to an Imperial Japanese Navy requirement for a carrier fighter that could escort bombers over long distances. The design team was led by Jiro Horikoshi and bet on consistently lightening the airframe, which is what gave the machine its legendary agility. The pilot's compartment was cramped but clear, and the seat in it sat on a simple supporting structure attached to the fuselage frame.
First rid the printed parts of the print resin residue with a short bath in warm soapy water. Remove the supports with a sharp blade bit by bit rather than in a single pass, and level the marks they leave with fine sandpaper. Before gluing, try the part dry between the fuselage halves so that it is clear how much material has to come off.
It is an add-on set for the cockpit; the aircraft kit itself is a separate item.
