This set is a resin accessory from the Quickboost (Aires) brand in 1:48 scale, not a stand-alone model of the airplane. It replaces the covers, that is the doors, of the main landing gear of a plastic Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat kit with thin resin castings with faithful inner detail. The parts are more delicate than the molding from the box and are meant for experienced modelers.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American single-seat carrier fighter of the navy in the Second World War with a potent air-cooled radial engine. A tough structure and reliability made it the backbone of the fighter defense of the aircraft carriers in the Pacific. The F6F-3 version was the first production rendition committed to the fighting.
These are resin castings for advanced builders. First wash the parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and clean up the cut surfaces, always with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Seat the thin covers with a light touch. Paint the inner faces and pick them out before you fit them to the landing gear legs.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set. The kit of the aircraft, the glue, the paints and any other accessories are not included in the package.
