The set holds resin exhaust pipes for the F8F-2 Bearcat variant in 1:48 scale. The castings have open exhaust outlets and a faithful outer texture that the plastic parts from a kit usually only hint at. This is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for a kit.
The Grumman F8F-2 was a later version of the carrier-based Bearcat fighter with a radial engine. The exhausts of radial engines stand out to the eye, and in a realistic finish their outlets are usually picked out with traces of exhaust gases.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up; protect your airways when sanding. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the open exhaust outlets in metallic shades and pick them out with burnt tones and a sooty cast to match the condition of the real machine.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
