Eduard 1:48 Hunter FGA.9/FR.10/GA.11 is a set of pre-cut masks for a model of the British Hawker Hunter jet aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the Hawker Hunter in the FGA.9, FR.10 and GA.11 versions in 1:48 scale. These are pre-cut self-adhesive masks that are stuck onto the model and serve for spraying sharply bounded areas. The set is an accessory for the build, not the model itself.
The Hawker Hunter was a British single-engine jet aircraft of the 1950s which gradually turned from a pure fighter into a very successful attack and training machine. The FGA.9 version was meant for attacks on ground targets, the FR.10 carried photographic reconnaissance equipment in the nose and the GA.11 served with the Navy for training. The differences between them lie mainly in the nose and the armament; they share the shape of the cockpit, which is why one masking set covers all of them.
Wash and degrease the glazing first, as fingerprints will stop a mask from sticking. Place the mask with tweezers and press only lightly in the middle of the part at first; press it down around the edge once the position is right. Fill in the remaining area of the canopy with a piece of tape or a masking fluid. Spray thin coats and let the paint flash off between them, otherwise a ridge builds up under the edge. Remove the masks soon after the paint dries, with tweezers and a diagonal pull.
