About product

Mark 83 thousand-pound aerial bomb 1:48 (RESArm)

The set contains 3D-printed resin replicas of the American Mark 83 aerial bomb in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an aftermarket accessory with which you fit out the bomb pylons of an already built model of a combat aircraft.

The real subject

The Mark 83 is an American low-drag general-purpose bomb weighing about 1000 pounds from the standard Mk 80 series. It forms the middle link between the smaller Mark 82 and the heavy Mark 84 and is among the ordinary armament of modern tactical and attack aircraft.

Use and building tips

  • Wash the uncured print resin residue off the parts and separate them from the print supports.
  • Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • Do the sanding with respiratory protection, ideally wet.
  • The tail fins and the fuzes are fine — apply a primer before painting.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers building modern combat aircraft in 1:48 scale.
  • Collectors who want accurate bomb armament instead of the parts from the box.

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
