A set of self-adhesive masking templates from the Czech maker Eduard, intended for a model of the Mil Mi-24 combat helicopter in the V and VP versions in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit, not decals and not model parts, but an aid thanks to which you paint the glazing frames straight and sharp. The TFace designation means the set covers masks for the outside and the inside of the glazing, so the frames stay correctly bounded even when seen from inside the cockpit.
An ordinary masking set covers only the outside of the glazing. On a helicopter with extensive cockpit glazing, though, the interior is clearly visible, and if the frames do not appear from the inside the model looks unfinished. TFace lets you paint the inside of the frames in the interior shade and the outside in the camouflage shade, a solution that comes closer to reality. The V and VP versions differ mainly in the arrangement of the armament at the front of the fuselage, while the cockpit glazing itself is identical, so the set covers both.
For modelers who build the Mi-24 in 1:48 scale and want the glazing painted precisely without laborious masking with tape. It saves time and nerves, and the result is noticeably cleaner than trimming tape by hand on curved surfaces.
A set of masks is an accessory, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
