An injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese carrier torpedo bomber Nakajima B6N2 Tenzan (Allied reporting name Jill) in 1:48 scale from Hasegawa. It is a classic injection-molded kit with a rich interior of the three-man cockpit; check the exact number of parts and marking options against the manufacturer's part number for this item. The 1:48 scale leaves room for detail of the engine as well as the cockpit.
The Nakajima B6N Tenzan (Heavenly Mountain) was a Japanese three-man carrier torpedo and level bomber meant to replace the older B5N Kate. The B6N2 version received a more powerful engine. The aircraft operated from Japanese aircraft carriers as well as from land bases in the closing phase of the war in the Pacific, among other places in the battles for the Philippines and Okinawa. The designation Type 12 refers to a variant of the aircraft.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Paint and highlight the three-man cockpit and the interior before you close the fuselage, and mask the clear glazing. Assemble the slung torpedo or the bomb load according to the scheme you choose. Apply a primer and the paints with an airbrush, apply the decals over a gloss coat and bring out the panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
