This finely cast resin set replaces the exhaust stacks of the Japanese twin-engine Nakajima J1N1-Sa Gekko night fighter (Allied reporting name Irving) in 1:48 scale. It refines one of the most conspicuous features of the engine nacelles without any laborious rework of the plastic parts. The part is intended for modelers who want to lift the look of the machine quickly and faithfully.
On a piston engine the exhaust stacks are among the most exposed details and how they are rendered strongly shapes the overall impression. The castings capture the hollow outlets and the fine shape of the pipes, which are hard to create from solid plastic. Once painted in metal and rusty shades and lightly weathered, they visually deepen the engine nacelles and give the aircraft scale credibility.
