Responsibility details are not available.
The P-51D Mustang is an American fighter of the Second World War, which made its name above all as a long-range escort for bomber formations. The D version was given a cut-down rear fuselage and a bubble canopy, so the pilot could see behind him considerably better than on the earlier versions. The armament was six machine guns of 12.7 mm caliber in the wing. The D-5 designation belongs to the first production batch of this version; its machines did not yet have the narrow dorsal fin fillet ahead of the vertical tail, which later batches received and which was fitted retrospectively to earlier machines.
A decal sheet in 1:48 scale. The number of color options, the range of the subjects and their placement on the model are given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer, as is the kit whose shapes the sheet is prepared for. We recommend checking the match with your own model beforehand, because markings tend to be drawn for a particular shape of fuselage and wing.
Look the procedure up in the instructions and check there, before soaking, whether it is not a self-adhesive version. With an ordinary wet decal the tried and tested procedure applies: cut the subject out close to the edge, soak it for a few seconds and let it rest until it can be slid across the backing. Lay it on a smooth gloss surface, because a decal silvers over a matte finish. A decal softener will help it settle into the engraved lines; blot the excess water away with a cloth and clear coat the finished markings at the end.
The kit, the paints and the decal chemicals are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
