A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. The set brings precisely cast machine gun barrels for the American Bell P-39Q Airacobra fighter in 1:48 scale. It replaces the kit plastic barrels with thin, straight resin castings. The part is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
The Airacobra had an unusual layout, with the engine amidships and the armament concentrated in the nose and in underwing gondolas, so the barrels are clearly visible on the model. Plastic barrels tend to be thick and slightly bent; the resin castings are straight, with a fine muzzle and a true diameter. Once fitted, the armament looks crisp and accurate.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
