An aftermarket resin set, not a standalone model. It contains the rows of engine exhaust stubs together with the aerodynamic fairing for 1:48 models of the P-51D Mustang. The resin rendering offers hollow and faithfully shaped exhaust stubs, which in plastic tend to be solid and simplified.
The P-51D Mustang was powered by a V engine and its exhaust stubs projected along the sides of the fuselage behind the engine. The version with a fairing corresponds to the aircraft whose exhausts had an aerodynamic shroud. The hollow stubs and the fine shadows inside them are a detail that catches the eye on a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the exhausts in shades of burnt metal and rust, darken the outlets, and fit them only after the fuselage has been painted so that they do not get clogged with paint.
