U.S. Soldiers, WWII — Orderlies 1:35 is a resin set of figures of American soldiers of the Second World War from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel, characters from everyday service away from the front line.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set of figures from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel captures American soldiers of the Second World War in ordinary service. While combat poses are something anyone can get hold of, characters from everyday military life are rarer, and it is exactly they that make a diorama a believable slice of reality.
Behind every soldier in the field stood an extensive apparatus of support services: messengers, auxiliary personnel, soldiers keeping headquarters, aid stations and the rear running. The English designation orderlies refers precisely to soldiers assigned to such auxiliary duties. Figures of this kind find a splendid use in scenes at command posts, field aid stations and supply columns, or simply in a snapshot from the life of a unit away from the front.
Wash the parts free of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and glue the joints with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the American uniforms in muted olive and khaki shades and set the individual pieces of equipment apart from one another with small shifts of tone. Bring the faces and hands to life with fine transitions, deepen the folds with a wash and seal the whole with a matte varnish. The matter-of-fact, civilian expression of the poses comes into its own in a quiet scene.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
