A masking set for the F-4B Phantom II 1:48 from HGW is an accessory for painting, not a kit of the aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory for modelers, not a model of the aircraft. The set serves to mask the glazing and other surfaces before spraying, so that the boundaries of the finish come out crisp and the paint does not run where it should not. On the two-seat Phantom with its extensive glazing this is work that takes a lot of time if the tape is cut by hand. The set is intended for a model of the naval F-4B version in 1:48 scale.
The F-4B was the early carrier version of the twin-engine two-seat Phantom II fighter, introduced with the US Navy and the Marine Corps at the start of the 1960s. The crew sat in tandem under split canopies, which is what decides the masking: there are more frames than on single-seat types and covering them precisely fundamentally affects the final impression of a model.
For modelers building the Phantom in 1:48 scale who spray with an airbrush and want clean boundaries to the finish without lengthy cutting of masks. Even a less experienced builder will manage the use of it.
The accessory is supplied without the base model. The kit of the aircraft, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
