A precisely die-cut self-adhesive masking set of Japanese paper tape (kabuki) for a plastic model of the two-seat combat trainer version of the Soviet Su-25 ground-attack aircraft in the UB or UBK variant in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker New Ware. It is not a model or a paint but a set of masks for cleanly spraying the glazing and the details. The EXPERT level is the most complete: besides the external masks for the cockpit it also includes masks for the inner side of the glazing and the sealing of the frames, masks for the wheels, for the clear parts and elements for masking the camouflage.
The Su-25, with the NATO reporting name Frogfoot, is a Soviet subsonic ground-attack aircraft intended for the close support of ground forces. It is distinguished by an armored pilot's cockpit and resistance to hits. The two-seat UB version and its export counterpart UBK came about as combat trainers with a lengthened forward section and a second cockpit, so they have more intricate glazing than the single-seat version.
The masks are cut from tape that conforms to the curvature and leaves no sticky traces once peeled off. Degrease and dry the surface before sticking them down, transfer the parts with tweezers and press them against the edges of the frames. Cover the remaining area with scraps of tape or with liquid mask. Apply the paint with an airbrush in thin coats and peel the masks off before the coat has dried completely.
This is a self-adhesive masking set, not a model or paints. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
