Flanged bolts with a hole for locking wire, 0.7 to 1.2 mm from Decalcas: a set of 476 printed elements for detailing car models. An accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Racing and aviation equipment does not only tighten its fasteners but also secures them with wire threaded through a hole in the head of the bolt, so that vibration does not loosen them. This set brings such a joint in miniature: 476 bolts with a hexagonal head, a pressed flange and a drilled hole. The elements are made by 3D printing in resin. It is not a kit but a stock of very small details for demanding builds.
The package holds five sizes: 95 pieces of 0.7 mm, 95 pieces of 0.8 mm, 95 pieces of 0.9 mm, 95 pieces of 1 mm and 96 pieces of 1.2 mm. These are the smallest sizes in the fastener range, suitable where an ordinary head would look coarse, that is in the engine bay, on the brakes and on the frame.
Work under a magnifier and with fine-tipped tweezers. Cut the parts off the carrier support with a fresh scalpel blade and level the foot with a fine file. They are glued with cyanoacrylate. On elements this small a primer tends rather to clog the detail, so paint in a thin coat. If you want to secure the joint for real, thread a thin copper wire through the hole and twist it the way a mechanic does on a real car.
The set is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
