A sport exhaust is usually the first thing an owner of a modified car buys, and also the first thing a passerby notices. On a model it works the same way: a polished tip under the rear bumper changes the character of the car more than most of the other small details. This part for 1:24 carries the name of the manufacturer's own tuning line, under which it labels its whole assortment of parts for tuners.
Production exhausts in kits tend to be done as a single blunt end with no inside. A separate part, by contrast, has an open mouth and proportions matching the real items from the ranges of firms that deal in modifications.
The part is fitted in place of the end section of the exhaust, which has to be cut off and the cut face leveled. Check the height above the road and the alignment with the cut-out in the bumper as you do it; on lowered cars this is usually the tightest spot of the whole build.
The surface can be approached in two ways. Either as polished stainless steel, that is a dark base and a silver paint with a high gloss, or as titanium with color transitions at the mouth. Those are imitated by spraying very thin coats of blue and violet over a golden base, and the first coat really must be light, otherwise the transition hardens into a single flat area.
The accessory makes sense above all on models with lowered suspension and wider wheels, where the rest of the car already suggests a conversion. On a car that looks like a production one, by contrast, it would look lonely.
