This resin detail set replaces the landing gear wheels of a model of the F-15 E Strike Eagle strike fighter in 1:48 scale. The castings match the modern type of wheels used on operational machines. It is an accessory from the Czech manufacturer Kopecky Scale Models, not a standalone model.
The resin wheels have a crisper relief of the tread pattern, the rims and the valves than the plastic parts and often include flattening where the tire meets the ground (a weighted look), which gives the model a realistic settled stance. Replacing the wheels is one of the most rewarding details, because it is clearly visible on the finished model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and protect your airways when sanding resin. Paint the tires and the rims separately; a circular mask helps with masking the rim.
This is a detail accessory, not an airplane model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
