BAC Jet Provost T.3/T.3a/T.4/T.51/T.52, 1:72 (Xtradecal)

Waterslide decals in 1:72 scale for plastic models of the BAC Jet Provost jet trainer in versions T.3, T.3a, T.4 and the export T.51 and T.52. The sheet brings national insignia, serial numbers and the color schemes of Royal Air Force machines as well as of foreign operators. The decals are applied over gloss varnish and add period-accurate markings to the model.

The real subject

The BAC Jet Provost was the basic jet trainer of the Royal Air Force, on which generations of British pilots passed through training. Besides home service with training units it was also sold abroad, where in the export versions T.51 and T.52 it served with the air forces of a number of countries. The machines carried conspicuous training colors as well as later camouflage.

Use

• Apply them over gloss varnish so that the decal does not silver.
• Release the item in lukewarm water and slide it onto the model.
• Pull the decal into the engraved lines and onto curved surfaces with a decal softener.
• Seal it with a clear varnish of the sheen you want.
