The set holds fully colored instrument panels and consoles of the upgraded Sea Harrier FA.2 carrier aircraft in 1:72 scale. These are micro-printed 3D decals with relief, not ordinary marking decals: the color artwork on a flexible film gives the instruments a three-dimensional, legible look. This variant captures the multifunction displays switched off, with the screens dark. The panels are sized to the cockpit of the Airfix kit.
The Sea Harrier FA.2 was a thoroughly upgraded version of the British carrier-based V/STOL aircraft, with a new radar and the ability to carry medium-range air-to-air missiles. It moved the Fleet Air Arm on to a fully capable multirole fighter able to operate from small aircraft carriers.
The decals are applied with the wet technique: cut the part out, dip it briefly in water and transfer it to the instrument panel. A matte base is recommended, along with settling by softener and complete drying, so that the film beds down over the edges of the panels too; once it is down, do not move it and give it at least 45 minutes.
This is an accessory for detailing the cockpit, not an aircraft model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
