This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale captures the American Diamond T968A truck in the special configuration with an asphalt tank. The model was released by the Polish brand IBG Models. The Diamond T968A comes from the series of four-ton 6x6 trucks that the US Army put into production at the beginning of 1941. The later chassis served as a general-purpose platform for a range of special bodies, among them an asphalt tank, a water tank, a crane and a snow plow. These trucks supported engineer and construction work in the rear.
Finish the chassis and the running gear first, then assemble the tank body. We recommend a primer coat, an airbrush and weathering with washes and pigments. Traces of use and rubbing will give the tank a realistic working look.
