Injection-molded plastic kit of the light attack aircraft Douglas A-4M Skyhawk in 1:72 scale. The Hobby 2000 edition combines proven Fujimi plastic with Cartograf decals and Pmask masks and brings the markings of the famous VMA-214 Black Sheep squadron. The box contains the plastic sprues, waterslide decals and a mask for the glazing.
The A-4 Skyhawk was a single-engined subsonic carrier attack aircraft with a delta wing, developed by Douglas for the US Navy and the Marine Corps. The A-4M version was intended above all for the Marine Corps and represented the peak of its development, with a more powerful engine and improved avionics. The VMA-214 Black Sheep squadron had already made its name in the Second World War under the command of Gregory Pappy Boyington and later flew Skyhawks as well.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Finish the cockpit and the instrument panel before closing up the fuselage, and cover the glazing with the enclosed mask. Plan the layout of the external stores (bombs, tanks, rockets) on the centerline and under the wings in advance. The quality Cartograf decals take softener well; lay a gloss coat under them so that no silvering appears. A gentle wash will bring out the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
