The injection-molded plastic kit Salmson Sal.2A2 Czechoslovakia in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the French reconnaissance biplane in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Kovozavody Prostejov. It is a modern tooling; the package holds gray plastic, a clear film for the glazing and decals for variants with Czechoslovak markings. The model captures machines operated in Czechoslovak colors after the First World War.
The Salmson 2 A.2 was a French two-seat reconnaissance and observation biplane of the First World War period, brought into service in 1917. Besides the French air service it was also used by the American Expeditionary Forces, and after the war among others by the Czechoslovak Air Force. It was a reliable machine with a radial engine, a characteristic radiator and a classic biplane structure with braced flying surfaces.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. On a biplane the rigging between the wings and the struts is the key thing, and it gives the model realism; elastic rigging thread or stretched sprue works well. Finish and paint the cockpit and the interior before you close the fuselage up. Lay a primer down before varnishing and apply the paints with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
