This is a resin detail set from Aires in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for replacing and refining the cockpit on a plastic kit of the EA-6B Prowler in the ICAP-2 standard. The early version designation refers to the earlier form of the cockpit. Sets of this kind usually contain the cockpit tub, the instrument panels, the consoles and the seats.
The EA-6B Prowler is a twin-engine electronic warfare aircraft with a crew of four. The ICAP-2 (Improved Capability II) standard brought an upgrade of the equipment, which was reflected in the layout of the crew stations as well. The spacious cockpit is clearly visible in a 1:72 build.
Wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Check the seating of the tub dry before the fuselage is closed. Bring out the panels and the consoles part by part before assembly.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
